The curriculum, developed around national public health curriculum standards, uses a multidisciplinary approach that emphasizes environmental public health concepts; psychological, behavioral, and social factors influencing population-based health disparities; principles of epidemiology and biostatistics; public health administration systems and processes; and economics. Choose elective courses from other MPH specializations that reflect your interests and professional needs. A collaborative project involving local public health organizations is integrated into the curriculum, providing you the opportunity to gain practical knowledge of relevant organizations, programs, and policies. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing supervisory or managerial positions in government, private, or community-based public health organizations.
